"The Wales Audit Office has always worked closely with other external review bodies in delivering our aim of promoting improvement. We share our plans and other information with the other inspectorates and, where appropriate, work jointly with them on projects.

We have now put in place a robust framework to take forward the collaboration agenda. Our collective aim is to strike an appropriate balance between providing audit and inspection services that are effective in challenging and supporting public services, whilst ensuring that audit and inspection activity is proportionate to need and maximises the collective efficiency and effectiveness of our work"
